Project Coral Collection
Frosted silver, Stainless steel
Researchers found that one-third of the corals are in danger of extinction, mainly due to rising ocean temperatures. This made corals one of the most nearly extinct species on the planet. The goal of this collection is to perform the living status of various corals. The five rings represent the five most common corals from deep to the shallow ocean. Man-made climate change causes sea temperature to rise, and excessively warm sea water will erode the coral surface, playing a bleaching effect. Although eroded corals have the possibility of recovery, the chances are very slim. Most bleached corals will face death.
